From manuscript to better publishing decisions

One manuscript, three products, one shared foundation: short report, full report and editorial assistance all draw on the same knowledge base. From it come publisher fit, market analysis, marketing information, audience analysis, metadata and licensing potential.
The problem

Good books are made by people. Good decisions take time.

Every manuscript already contains all the information a publisher needs to decide well.

Today that information is uncovered step by step in separate departments, editorial, marketing, sales or rights. This costs time, creates duplicated work and makes well-founded decisions harder.

narratiQ makes this knowledge fully usable right after the first digital reading.

The solution

Publishing Intelligence Engine (PIE)

The Publishing Intelligence Engine is the knowledge engine behind narratiQ. It extracts, structures and evaluates all relevant information in a manuscript and makes it usable for programme management, editorial, marketing, sales and other areas at the same time.

Every area works from the same foundation instead of opening up the manuscript again one after another. Whoever decides on programme, advance, positioning or rights draws on the same evidence-backed findings.

Not PDFs.

Not prompts.

Structured publishing knowledge.

PIE does not produce a document, it produces a structured knowledge base, usable by programme management, publishing management, editorial, marketing, sales and rights.

Why narratiQ?

We understand publishers

narratiQ was built by publishing professionals. We digitise decades of publishing know-how.

Publisher fit

Not every good manuscript is the right manuscript. Publisher fit matches story DNA against the DNA of your publishing house.

Traceable

No black box. Every result is backed by evidence from the text.

For the whole publishing house

PIE supports all of these from one shared knowledge base:

  • Programme management
  • Editorial
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Rights

Three products

The same knowledge base offers three ways in, depending on the decision at hand.

Short report

Sort. Prioritise. Decide.

A well-founded first assessment of a manuscript.

The short report delivers a structured first assessment of a manuscript within minutes. It summarises content, strengths, challenges and potential, helping editorial and programme management reach well-founded decisions faster and on a consistent basis.

Full report

The complete publishing knowledge of a manuscript.

The full report is the heart of the Publishing Intelligence Engine. It makes the knowledge held in a manuscript structurally available and creates the basis for well-founded decisions in editorial, programme planning, marketing and sales.

  • Publisher fit
  • Market analysis
  • Marketing
  • Metadata
  • Rights

All of it built on PIE.

The modules in detail

Every module draws on the same knowledge base.

Publisher fit

Every publisher has its own profile, and that is exactly what publisher fit accounts for. narratiQ matches each manuscript against your individual publishing DNA and shows, traceably, how well it fits your programme, audiences and strategic direction.

Market analysis

Market analysis shows where a manuscript sits in the current book market. It identifies comparable titles, audiences and market opportunities and helps publishers position titles on a solid footing.

Marketing & communications

From blurb to press release to social media post: narratiQ creates channel- and audience-specific content out of a well-founded understanding of the manuscript. Every book is communicated consistently, efficiently and in line with its positioning.

Metadata

Professional metadata is the key to digital marketing. narratiQ creates it directly from the manuscript, well-founded, consistent and aligned with the requirements of retail, online shops and search engines.

Editorial assistance

narratiQ accompanies the entire revision process of a manuscript. The module identifies room for improvement, helps phrase constructive feedback and keeps the workflow between publisher and author structured and traceable.

Rights analysis

Not every book stops at the borders of its home market. Rights analysis assesses the potential for international markets from the manuscript alone and helps publishers spot opportunities for translations and foreign rights early.

Economic value

More value for your publishing house

The value does not appear in one place. It appears in five.

Time

Your team reads the titles it needs to read, not the whole pile.

Quality

Every programme decision rests on the same evidence-backed foundation.

Revenue

Positioning, comparable titles and metadata are ready before the sales conference.

Cost

Fewer external reports, less duplicated work across editorial, marketing and sales.

Risk

Weak spots and narrow audiences surface before advance and marketing are committed.

narratiQ does not replace publishing decisions.

narratiQ improves them.
